Cecile Preziosa
Cécile Preziosa could have been an engineer from her initial training, but her passion for ceramic and creating objects led her to choose a very different path. Not long after her studies, in 2009, she started to train in wheel throwing as an apprentice in a traditional pottery workshop in France’s Alsace region. A few years later, her intense practice allowed her to create delicate and even pieces, perfecting her shapes. Cécile Preziosa founded her studio in 2013.
Kana London
Yugoslavia-born Ana Kerin studied fine art and sculpture at the Academy for Fine Art and Design in Slovenia and the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.
A rising star on the circuit, the academic award-winning Kerin has exhibited in group shows and represented Slovenia in European biennales for young, contemporary artists. Working across mediums, from charcoal to canvas and clay, Kerin has developed an expressive artistic signature. Her undulating silhouettes and free-form shapes are present across her works, from her large-scale paintings and sculptures to her pottery. Each artwork questions the relationship between form, fluidity and function.
The notion of connection informs much of Kerin’s work. She is interested in the traces that linger, like a thumbprint in clay; a brushstroke on paper. Each soulful expression is a reflection of an existence. It leaves an imprint on a person; on a soul; on the world.
Colleen Hennessey
Colleen grew up in Mill Valley, California, spending most of her days outdoors. She was influenced by the natural beauty around her. Both her parents made things with their hands: woodworking, gardening, and sewing. Trained in sculpture at Kansas City Art Institute, Colleen supported herself as a cook for fifteen years, at Hayes Street Grill in San Francisco and at Los Angeles restaurants Lucques, Campanile, Canelé, and Elysian. She also worked teaching girls life skills through gardening, animal husbandry and cooking. These years of cooking and gardening are reflected in her ceramics. She's always thinking about how her wares will be used to hold the harvest and present meals. Ceramics is a natural progression from Colleen's art, gardening, and cooking. Her simple and functional everyday ware is inspired by the food that she grows and prepares. Colleen now lives on the Mendocino coast of Northern California.
